Treasury Secretary Geithner can’t sell his house

Last February after he got his new job as Treasury Secretary, Geitnher attempted to sell his New York house for $1.635 million, as he was heading to Washington.  After a few unsuccessful weeks on the market he lowered the asking price to $1.575 million, which was less than what he paid for it.

Four Oakland police officers killed by a Wanted Parolee

On March 21st Lovelle Mixon opened fire on two officers killing them.  Later he fatally wounded two SWAT officers who stormed the apartment in which he was hiding.  Apparently, Lovelle did not want to go back to prison. 
There are about 122,000 parolees on the streets in California.
