Southern California home sales drop to 20-year low

The median price of a home last month was $415,000, 18% below the peak median price reached last year and the lowest since January 2005.

Only 9,983 houses and condominiums were sold in the six-county region (Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties) last month, a data-tracking firm says.
